The New and Blessed Addition
Hello everyone! Yes, I am still alive and Caleb and I are finally parents! Our sweet little Finn David was born on Monday at 5:33 pm at Logan Regional Hospital. He weighed in at 8 lbs 9 ounces, 22 inches long and he has tons of dark hair! I never in a million years thought I would have a baby with tons of dark hair! I was born with a tiny amount of blonde hair, so I looked bald. Caleb entered the world looking like a hobbit, so that's where Finn gets his lovely locks. I was in labor for 17 hours which was hard, but very worth it when I saw Finn for the first time. It was so funny because Finn was posterior(facing up) and extended so he had this unicorn-shaped head when he came out. The doctor said most women would of had a c-section with his position, so I'm grateful I didn't have to go that route. I consider him a real trooper because I pushed for two hours and he kept up his heart rate the whole time during pushing. We are SO grateful he is healthy and know we are blessed to have the opportunity to be his parents. This first week has been a roller coaster ride, but we are learning little by little and we'll get the whole taking care of baby thing down eventually. We've never used our camera more than in this last week, so enjoy the pictures.
